Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the results for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2024. Candidates who appeared for CTET Paper I and Paper II can now download their results.   • Admit Card Availability: 2 Days Before Exam
  • Answer Key Availability: 24/07/2024
  • Result Declaration: 31/07/2024

Application Fee

  • For Single Paper:
    • General / OBC / EWS: ₹1000
    • SC / ST / PH: ₹500
  • For Both Papers (Primary & Junior):
    • General / OBC / EWS: ₹1200
    • SC / ST / PH: ₹600
  • Payment Mode: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or E Challan

Eligibility Criteria

Primary Level (Class I to V)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE regulations.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE regulations.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Job Type

The CTET certification qualifies candidates for teaching positions in various schools across India. It is a mandatory qualification for those aspiring to become teachers for primary (Class I to V) and junior (Class VI to VIII) levels in central government schools and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories.

Qualification

The qualifications required for CTET are categorized based on the level of teaching:

  • Primary Level (Class I to V): Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualifications.
  • Junior Level (Class VI to VIII): Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree or equivalent qualifications.

Salary

The salary for teachers qualifying through CTET varies depending on the school and the location. Generally, the starting salary for primary teachers ranges from ₹35,000 to ₹45,000 per month, while junior level teachers can expect a starting salary between ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month.
